In October of 2008, The Salvation Army of Greater Cleveland became the proud recipients of a $3,000 grant from Ford Motor Company Fund and Community Services in support of the emergency food program.  The grant funds will be used to purchase food supplies for the food pantry and soup kitchen programs.

The Ford Motor Company Fund and Community Services is a not-for-profit corporation organized in 1949.  Made possible by Ford Motor Company profits, Ford Motor Company Fund and Community Services supports the initiatives and institutions that enhance and improve opportunities for those who live in the communities where Ford Motor Company operates.

We are very grateful for the continued support of Ford Motor Company Find and Community Services.

FRAUDULENT E-MAIL WARNING

The Salvation Army has learned that a number of individuals in the United States have received unauthorized and fraudulent e-mails, generally from a "gmail" address, that include the name and logos of The Salvation Army, sometimes in the French language.  These e-mails claim to be from the "C.E.O" of The Salvation Army, identify a mailing address in France, and offer the "chance to be our representative" and earn money by retaining a percentage of donations made by private donors intended for The Salvation Army.  They encourage the recipient to fill out an "Application Form" to be considered as a "Participant".  THESE E-MAILS HAVE NOT BEEN SENT OR AUTHORIZED BY THE SALVATION ARMY AND WE URGE THE PUBLIC NOT TO RESPOND TO THESE SOLICITATIONS.
