Last year, the Salvation Army impacted the lives of more than 78,300 individuals in Northeast Ohio.
Locally, 88 cents of every dollar donated goes directly to the programs and services.
The Salvation Army is very proud of the trust the community places in us as stewards of their charitable dollars. We take that role very seriously.
We are committed to “Doing the Most Good”, for the most people, in the most need. Help is needed year round in order for The Salvation Army to do its work. Your monetary contribution goes a long way toward helping fight hunger, house and clothe those faced with disasters, rehabilitate the addicted, care for the elderly and nurture youth.
Due to increasing demand for services, The Salvation Army faces a $150,000.00 operating deficit for the fiscal year that ends September 30, 2008. To address the shortfall , Salvation Army Advisory Board member Ray Murphy, citing a similar challenge grant from a major donor in 2003, has agreed to match all new gifts and increased gifts on a 1-to- 2 basis up to $50,000.00. We urge you to make a donation to our “$150,000.00 Christmas in July Challenge Grant”.
